First off, a huge thank you to my friends who are simply…amazing. I wish there was a better way I could let them know how thankful I am.
There have been a lot of people that are aquantences wo love to tell me how I’m planning so fast, how I’ll be done by Dec., blah blah blah. Now, my friends get this, but this has come from strangers or virtual strangers.Â
Here’s the thing, allow me to introduce myself. I am a planner; by nature, by training, by trade. And you know what, my fear is that I’m gonna fly through this and not enjoy it, so to all you people I barely know you can shut it, cause here’s the other reasonS:
On Monday night I head to Twinsburg (woo friggen who) for training. I come back Wed night for all of 24 hours to do laundry and see the boy before he heads to MS, and then I head to Long Beach for my biggest conference of the year.
But wait, it doesn’t stop there-instead of coming home I go straight to NOLA for my friend’s bachelorette party, and pour myself out of hte plane Sunday afternoon. I’m home for a week or two, with a stint in MS myself, and then head back to NOLA for my last show of hte year that officially means that I’ve made it through my first year at my job!
Then I head back to VA for a few weeks, before the holidays and then out to Vegas for the ‘big show’. And that’s just till the end of the year.
So if I’m not on here a lot I apologize. I am still here, and I’ll be back.Â

You can plan as fast or as slow as you want to. But knowing you, it will all be done before St Paddys Day…which is fine. Cause its your wedding and you can do what you want!
I hate Busy Season….its the same time as my busy season so we NEVER see each other. Sucks. But we will have a few weekends…and we can spend them doing wedding stuff…or not. Up to you!

Try not to let those comments bug you. I got the same thing, I booked my reception hall super quickly and I got some flack for that. But in the end, it’s YOUR day. You plan it how you want to!
Also, planning the big stuff early gives you loads of time to concentrate on those fine details that really make the wedding reflect who you are.

First and foremost, you have amazing friends by no sheer coincidence… we’ve gravitated towards one amazing gal
Birds of a feather… LOL.
My theory is get the planning done as soon as your little planner’s heart and mind doth desire. That way when THE DAY arrives you will be able to enjoy it. As you keep saying, it is only one day. But it is THE ONE DAY, chickie!
