A Case of the Mun-Days

First and foremost I would like to thank the boy for my spiffy new web page!  You will notice the flickr page-it’s not mine.  Right now it’s linked to the boys until I get one up and running.

As if Monday’s weren’t hard enough, Mondays after being onsite and then taking a day (or two) off really stink.  I successfully kept up w/ e-mail last week though so other than some filing (I couldn’t really use my laptop so had to use the show desktop) I’m pretty well on top of it.  My final bill from my meeting in TX won’t get her until tomorrow, and the final bill for this last show isn’t here yet (nor is my client back in the office) so I’m trying to take today to get nice and caught up.  I will also freely admit that I have little motivation right now.  This is what I mean when I say I wish I could bottle the stress of having 7 deadlines looming over your head-when I don’t have any looming I don’t have so much motivation.  Such as it is.

There has definitely been a shift in my life-I don’t really know how to explain it.  Maybe it’s surviving my first Spring at this new job and living to tell, who knows.  What I do know is I value my personal time so much more now.  This weekend we went w/ Dave to the fair on Fri (poor L had cooties) to see Live, then Sat. we tooled around, went and bought 15 books for $9.95 at Goodwill (lots of summer reading!) and then hit golf balls w/ my new $2.99 King Cobra driver.  I’ll tell you what-I’m all about quality but for some things it’s nice to find them on the cheap!  Sunday I got up and walked to get coffee and then sat out on a bench for a good hour and a half re-reading my YaYa book.  Let me say this-my two best friends from high school and I read that book many moons before it became popular, and even many more before that movie came out so there.  Anywho, I lent my precious book to someone a while back and never got it back.  A Goodwill jackpot find if I do say so myself!  Why anyone would get rid of that book I dunno but their loss is totally my gain.  So I’m reading it again for the umpteenth time and loving every second-it’s like one of those books that just feels like home.  Sun afternoone we met up w/ Dave and the now cootie-less L to see Knocked Up which was funny, but not as hilarious as I’d hoped.  Still it was great to spend time w/ them.

The biggest downside?  Sunday afternoon I decided to drag the boy to ECCO so have my feet remeasured.  Last time I was there was right before this last show, and they said I was a larger size shoe.  I just figured it was b/c I’d been on my feet all day.  Not so much.  I am now the very unproud owner of a pair of size 13 feet.  Ugh.  No wonder my friggen feet hurt!

None the less, it was a lovely weekend.  The problem w/ valuing your personal life is now I don’t really want to sit here at work :)  Such as it is.  I suppose I should be getting back to said work.  Soon enough it will be crazy around here again.  Until then…..

PS-you should totally go see the boy’s blog…he such a sweetie!

Welcome back! Mondays in general do suck - sorry :(

But don’t be ashamed of those size 13s - my MIL and GMIL both have 12/13 feet and are damn proud. I think part of having feet that big is having the cajones to rock them :)

So get yourself some rockin sexpot shoes and rock it! :)

I LOVE the new page. This is absolutely gah-geous. I am in the middle of my first half-day of being a stay at home wife. HOLY COW. Tomorrow is my first full day, so I guess I’m working my way up to it….
Now that you are totally aware of your valued social life, you and the boy must come visit us once we are offically ensconced in the new house. :*

Loving the new look! I’m jealous!

And thanks so much for referring to me as someone with cooties, not once but twice :)

Sunday was fun. I agree about the movie, I was expecting it to be MUCH funnier. But it was a good time anyway, we need to hang out more often!
