I arrived back in DC yesterday at 7:00 am after flying all night, including one horrifying hopper from Palm Springs to Vegas where people were litterally heard inhalling sharp breaths from our roller coaster of a flight and at one point I, no kidding, thought “I’m just going to sleep, b/c if we crash and …you know what….it’ll be better if I’m asleep”. Ok, so fair enough I was deliriously tired but still-it was easily the worst flight ever.
I took Benedryll for the final leg from Vegas to DC, and though I slept hard for hte first portion of the flight (I don’t even remember taking off) I started waking up halfway through. It was multiple things, including the pressure in my leg which I will explain later. Luckily there was no on in the middle seat and I slept most of the way, though not well. When I landed I called the boy to let him know and he was surprisingly awake. He was planning on trying to surprise me to come pick me up but got this and my Sept trip’s locations mixed up. Blessedly he came to pick me up. I don’t think I could’ve made the taxi ride I was planning on taking-and I certainly couldn’t drive.
I spent the majority of the day so tired I couldn’t think straight w/ the boy (who took the day off) taking care of me. God, I am one lucky girl. I did have a Dr’s appt though which I planned on Thurs. at 12:30 so I wouldn’t sleep the day away.Â
While in the desert I got desert rash (basically seriously dry skin) which has happened before. But then I had this other crazy rash on the top of my feet. Wierd but whatever. But then there was the pressure, lots of pressure. I tried to ignore it b/c even though my feet always kill me they never swell on showsite. However, everyone else was having swelling problems so I figured that was it. Then though, the vien in my right foot got all swollen and that was the leg w/ the most discomfort. I decided to make the Dr’s appt just to be on the safe side since I’m petrified of blood clots, plus I wanted to seek the Dr’s help w/ weight loss since I know that’s a big part of the problem and I’m having little luck.
5 hours later I finally got home. The Dr. thought it was too risky to rule out a blood clot to so I had am emerency ultrasound which meant that I had to sit and wait. Luckily I’m free and clear, at least of any major issue
Dont ask the boy’s opinion cause I’m sure he has a smarty remark
I’m off today as well and surprisingly not at all guilty about taking time off. Ok, maybe an itsy bitsy bit but so much better than the usual! I’m off to tidy up a bit more and then head to the pool.
Happy 33rd anniversary Mom and Dad!

Working from home! WORKING FROM HOME. There is a difference.
SO now that you are home, can we see you!? I mean, for more than 5 minute coffee breaks at work?! Like, go out in public together or sit by the pool maybe!?
Love you!
